- What is a commercial case?

A commercial case pursuant to the CCP is a case between entrepreneurs, i.e. persons or entities engaged in their own name in business professionally. The definition also includes cases:
- concerning civil liability claims against members of management boards of companies, connected with infringement of the provisions of law or corporate rules;
- against entrepreneurs connected with environmental damage;
- heard in commercial proceedings pursuant to special provisions of competition protection law, energy law, telecommunications law, postal law, railway law;
- against entrepreneurs concerning the use of unlawful template contracts.
In Poland, commercial cases are handled in a special commercial procedure which is much more formalised than the ordinary procedure.
