The time limits laid down by law cannot be exceeded. Appeals filed after expiry of the relevant deadline are rejected and pleadings are returned. In some cases, however, it is possible to request reinstatement of the deadline. An application must be filed within one week from the moment when the reason for failure to comply with the deadline ceased. In the application the party must substantiate its reasons for having been unable to have complied with the deadline. At the same time the party must actually file the appeal or the pleading.
